After battling for life for 11 days, 19-year-old Swarna Jaswanth, a student of Vogue Institute of Technology at Doddaballapur Road, who have suffered head injuries after falling through a glass cover, was declared brain dead on Sunday. Swarna Jaswanth, a student of the fourth semester Bachelor Fashion technology, fell 15 feet through the fragile glass covering the 14th of December. Swarna, who have suffered severe injuries to the head, underwent treatment in hospital Columbia Asia on Bellary Road at Hebbal.
Swarna, who was in a coma until Saturday, was declared brain dead early on Sunday. MS. Hemalatha, Swarna, told the media that he is donating seven vital organs of the body of his son. “My son will no longer exist. The doctor told Swarna will not last as his brain has stopped functioning, is certain that he will be no more. We got the message from the doctor in the morning. We will be donating seven of her vital organs for the poor. At least by doing this, we can see our daughter in others, “he lamented.
Swarna originally was rushed to a government hospital in Doddaballapur by his friends. From there, he moved to Columbia Asia Hospital in the afternoon. Students even alleged that there is almost no financial support from management. Management even stating that the place from where the fall was the Swarna is restricted to students.
